We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join the Medtronic team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work with an industry leader in developing and supporting innovative medical products and services. The successful candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for tax accounting.To be successful in this role, the Senior Tax Accountant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax accounting, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA certification, and strong knowledge of US GAAP. Additionally, the candidate must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Finally, the Senior Tax Accountant must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have a strong commitment to customer service. Prepare and review corporate tax returns in accordance with US GAAP.
Monitor and analyze tax legislation, regulations, and rulings to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Research tax issues, resolving complex tax matters, and identifying tax planning opportunities.
Assist in the preparation of state, federal, and international tax provisions and related disclosures.
Coordinate with external tax advisors and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns.
Develop and maintain tax-related processes and procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions.
Prepare estimates of income taxes and analyze differences between actual and estimated taxes.
Provide support for audits and special projects as necessary.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current tax regulations and trends.
