Line Cook

Eight|11 place in Frisco, TX, is looking for a line cook to join our strong restaurant team. We are an independent, neighborhood pizza and wine bar with a strong following of regulars and an emphasis on great food and hospitality. You will be busy! Our ideal candidate is self-driven and reliable.

No early mornings or late nights. Closed Sundays and Mondays and major holidays. Pay negotiable depending on experience. Friday/Saturday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies


• Chop vegetables, prepare sauces, pizza dough and other food preparation.


• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff--pizza line, sandwich and salad line, appetizer line


• Close station at end of shift, clean, restock and store leftover food


• Receive and stock inventory

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience; pizza and/or garde manger experience a plus


• Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs--small kitchen where everyone helps out everyone else


• Strong attention to detail


• Ability to communicate in English


• Food Handler Certificate
